AboutPropane Levac

A Family Business Since 1993

Propane Levac Inc. was founded by Jean-Marc Levac in 1993 in the village of St-Isidore, Eastern Ontario
What began as a small agricultural business soon expanded into a successful propane distribution company when Jean-Marc broadened his services to include propane gas retail. With just one truck, he started delivering propane to the local community, offering personalized service that quickly built a strong reputation. Through word-of-mouth, the business grew rapidly, reaching 450 customers by the end of its first year. Over the years, Propane Levac has experienced exceptional growth. Today, the company serves around

40,000 customers across Ontario and Quebec, with more than 200 employees and six distribution centers, including locations in St-Isidore, Perth, Kingston, Montreal, Prescott and Kazabazua (QC).

Leadership Through the Generations

In 2001 and 2006, Jean-Marc’s sons, Etienne and Christian, joined the family business to ensure its continued growth and success. Since then, the company has consistently expanded, adding new trucks to its fleet annually and implementing processes and systems to enhance operations and management.

Our History

Propane Levac Propane inc. was born from the desire of Jean-Marc Levac, then owner of a small agricultural business in the village of St-Isidore, in Eastern Ontario, to expand his range of services. He then started selling propane gas at retail. He buys his first truck to deliver propane to the region. Customers are very satisfied with the personalized service. Thanks to word of mouth, the company, comprising at the time a president, a truck driver and a secretary, was a resounding success. At the end of this first year, Propane Levac inc. serves 450 clients. The company has since experienced remarkable growth. The number of customers now stands at around 37,000. More than 120 employees provide good service. Four other distribution centers were added, two in Ontario (Perth in 2001 and Kingston in 2007), as well as Montreal and Kazabazua, in Quebec, in 2010. In 2001 and 2006, Jean-Marc Levac’s two sons, Étienne and Christian, joined the team to ensure the succession of the family business. Since then, the company has continued to grow. New trucks are added to the fleet every year to meet the needs of customers and a new computer system was put in place in 2015 to improve the management of deliveries.
