Being named a finalist for Butane-Propane News’ 2026 Industry Innovators recognition \u2014 read the full feature here<\/em> <\/a>\u2014 is an honour for our President, Christian Levac. More than a personal achievement, it reflects a philosophy that has guided Propane Levac for years: innovation only matters when it creates real value for the people we serve.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a family-owned company, we have the privilege of thinking in decades rather than quarters. That long view shapes every major investment we make, and it always comes back to one question: how can we make life easier, safer and more reliable for our customers? Innovation, for us, has never been about chasing trends. It’s a refusal to accept “we’ve always done it that way,” and a commitment to becoming a benchmark in innovation and the energy transition. As Christian puts it: “If we don’t continue challenging ourselves and reinventing our business, someone else eventually will.”<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

That commitment is clearest in how we’re preparing for the future of energy. Receiving Canada’s first railcar of renewable propane was a milestone for our company and our industry, proving that renewable propane is no longer a future concept but a practical, lower-emission solution that works within much of the existing infrastructure, without asking customers to replace the equipment they rely on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Securing that future takes infrastructure. Through LGP Energy Inc., our wholesale division, and our rail terminal in Prescott, we’ve strengthened regional supply from the producer, through our own terminals, to the customer’s tank, giving us greater control over reliability whatever the season or the market brings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And through RE-TANK EXPERT, we safely extend the life of propane cylinders and tanks with proper inspection, reconditioning and quality control, while continuing to modernize and automate the operation to improve safety and efficiency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Together with our digital tools and 360-degree service, these investments share a single purpose: to make our customers’ experience simpler, safer and more dependable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

None of this happens without our people. We put the right people in the right roles and give them the space to succeed, building a culture where a better idea can come from anywhere.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Behind all of it is the same purpose that has always guided our company: to offer comfort and exceptional service, and to be the most trusted propane partner for homes, farms and businesses across the communities we serve. Christian’s nomination is a recognition of leadership, but leadership is never an individual accomplishment.
